We are thrilled to announce that this summer Ontario Deaf Sports Association (ODSA) will be hosting the Ontario Deaf Youth Summer Camp from Sunday, August 17th to Friday, August 22nd. The ODSA will be welcoming children with hearing loss from across Ontario to spend 6 days and 5 nights at the YMCA Cedar Glen in Schomberg, Ontario. This unique program is designed to encourage and develop communication, leadership and social skills through fun activities. Our camp will include children who are culturally Deaf (ASL as a first language), Oral Deaf (spoken English as a first language), Hard of Hearing, and their siblings between 7 and 17 years old. ODSA welcomes campers regardless of their educational backgrounds and whether or not they use hearing aids or cochlear implants. As a result, children will be a part of a diverse group and have a chance to make new friends.
Campers are grouped as follows:
Junior Group: Ages 7 to 10 years
Intermediate Group: Ages 11 to 14 years
Leadership Group: Ages 15 to 17 years
Please help us to spread the word by forwarding the attached brochure to the families that you work with. The brochure lists the full range of fun activities and camper fee information. Should you or the families have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch either by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone at 416-426-7107. In order to maintain a high camper-to-staff ratio, space is limited to 40 campers, so please encourage parents to register early to ensure their child’s place at camp.
Looking forward to a fun filled summer!
All the best,
